Anantapur Plant , Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh

About the plant: An amalgamation of our core strengths in EPC services over the decades, National Thermal Power Corporation’s Anantpur plant is our largest project that uses solar cells and modules manufactured in India. This 100 MW plant is expected to generate nearly 160 million units (kWh) of energy per year.

Innovation and solution: With innovative designs in Balance-of-System (BoS) and cabling, along with an optimized selection of evacuation systems, the project was completed within 80% of the stipulated timeline.
GoI’s ‘Make in India’ mission is exemplified in Tata Power Solar’s expertise in domestic manufacturing and EPC services.

Sustainability at Anantpur: Special care was taken to preserve the ecosystem across the 500-acre site despite a slew of challenges—the site ecology, natural streams, and dense vegetation all remain undisturbed.
The Andhra Pradesh plant is on the road to offset around 1,10,000 tonnes of CO2 each year, thereby minimizing the conventional grid load significantly.

CSR:
The 1.3 million safe man-hours recorded by the plant are a testament to world-class safety standards employed at site. This plant is an embodiment of Tata Power’s spirited movement towards sustainable development and technological excellence.
